In English - how it works

Starts in May the 15th and run to the end of October.

We have placed a lot of checkpoints all around Kungälv and the Isle of Marstrand. The idea is to find the checkpoints with the help of the map and/or GPS. You can use your mobile and and the webmap or the physical map that you get for free.

We want more people to accept the challenge to move about and discover our breathtaking nature and archipelago.

Any questions? Contact us at kungalv@hittaut.nu

THE MAP AND CHECKPOINTS

On the map there will be in total 65 numbered checkpoints with color-codes explaining the difficulty.

  • Green = easy (accessible with bike, pram or wheelchair)

  • Yellow = medium

  • Red = medium to difficult

  • Black = difficult

Some of the checkpoints will only be available later on in the project, called "checkpointssläpp = checkpoint release", see below for dates and which checkpoints.

Checkpoints releases

July 1st, 5 more checkpoints, no 51-55.

August 1st, 10 checkpoints, no 56-65.

HERE YOU CAN GET THE MAP

Here you find the map::

  • Tourist office in Kungälv: Färjevägen 3, by Bohus Castle

REGISTER YOUR CHECKPOINTS ONLINE

When you have found your first checkpoint, or even before you start, you can register on these web pages. Every checkpoint you register (with the letter-code) on this site, becomes a lottery ticket and you can win prizes. It's valuable for the project that you register, since both we and our sponsors want to know how many checkpoint finders we'll be.

The hitta ut "pole"

At every checkpoint there is a one meter high "hittaut"-pole.

On the pole there are Hittaut-decals, the checkpoint-number and the code. Note the code (two letters) and register it on the homepage.
