In English - how it works

hittaut starts during the spring 2018

We have placed a lot of checkpoints all around Luleå. The idea is to find the checkpoints with the help of the map and/or GPS. You can use your mobile and the webmap or the physical map that you get for free.

We want more people to accept the challenge to move about and discover our breathtaking nature, beautiful city and seaside.

Any questions? Please contact us at lulea@hittaut.nu.

THE MAP AND CHECKPOINTS

On the map there will be more than 100 numbered checkpoints with color-codes explaining the difficulty.

  • Green = easy (accessible with bike, pram or wheelchair)

  • Yellow = medium

  • Red = medium to difficult

  • Black = difficult

Some of the checkpoints will only be available later on in the project, called "checkpointssläpp = checkpoint release", see below for dates and which checkpoints.

Checkpoints releases

There will be two checkpoint releases during the season, at July 1st and August 1st. Those checkpoints are already on the map but will not be at the physical location until the release. They are marked with JUL and AUG on the map.

HERE YOU CAN GET THE MAP

Here you find the map:

  • Turistcenter, Kulturens Hus
  • Snabbasteg, Storgatan 30
  • Hägglunds, Storgatan 26
  • Hermelinen, Sandviksg. 6

REGISTER YOUR CHECKPOINTS ONLINE

When you have found your first checkpoint, or even before you start, you can register on these web pages. Every checkpoint you register (with the letter-code) on this site, becomes a lottery ticket and you can win prizes. It's valuable for the project that you register, since both we and our sponsors want to know how many checkpoint finders we'll be.

The hittaut "pole"

At every checkpoint there is a one meter high "hittaut"-pole.

On the pole there are Hittaut-decals, the checkpoint-number and the code. Note the code (two letters) and register it on the homepage.
